Role Overview
The OBG Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care related to women’s reproductive health, including pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecological conditions. This role involves both preventive and curative care, surgical interventions, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to expectant mothers.
- Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system (e.g., menstrual disorders, infertility, infections, menopause).
- Perform obstetric procedures such as normal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Conduct gynecological surgeries (e.g., hysterectomy, laparoscopy).
- Perform routine check-ups, pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
- Manage emergency obstetric and gynecological cases.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, anesthetists, pediatricians).
- Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree and MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in obstetrics and gynecology (freshers with residency experience may also apply).
