Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Staff Nurse to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong clinical skills, dedicated to promoting a safe and effective environment for patients. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and ensure patient well-being and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of assigned patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other patient data.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Provide wound care and other technical nursing services.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in accordance with hospital policy and legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Report any changes in patient condition to the attending physician immediately.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaboration & Education:
- Collaborate with a healthcare team including doctors, specialists, and other nurses to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Education: Bsc Nursing or GNM
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State/Country].
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a Staff Nurse, or in a related clinical role.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on the department.
